Regarding identity theft, prank orders, and refusal to receive deliveries
Thank you for using the TOOT official website.
Recently, we have been seeing a sharp increase in malicious and nuisance behaviors, such as "fraudulent orders using identity theft" by fraudulent use of credit cards and other people's names, addresses, and contact information, "mischievous orders," and "refusal to accept deliveries for personal reasons." Because these behaviors cause great inconvenience not only to our company, but also to our affiliated companies and other customers, we have been forced to take the following measures.
Measures to prevent identity theft, prank orders, and refusals to accept deliveries
Please be sure to check.
(1) For large, high-value orders, or for first-time customers, we may contact you by phone or email to confirm your order.
(2) If we are unable to contact you at the telephone number or email address you registered and are unable to verify your identity, your order will be cancelled.
(3) If we suspect a payment attempt to be fraudulent, we will contact you by email and cancel the transaction.
(4) We may refuse your order depending on your past transactions.
When malicious acts such as impersonation, prank orders, or refusal to accept items are committed
Please be sure to check.
Regardless of the reason, if the product is returned due to refusal to accept it, you will be required to pay our damages and expenses (round-trip shipping, various fees, postage of the invoice, etc.). If you ignore this request, we will take legal action and require you to appear at the hearing date. Please note that you will be responsible for all expenses related to this legal process (including attorney's fees, transportation costs to court, litigation costs, etc.).
In addition, if we determine that there has been impersonation, a prank order, or a refusal to accept a package, or if such actions have caused financial damage to our company or a third party, we will request an investigation from the internet provider or mobile phone company, report personal information, IP addresses, and call recordings to the relevant authorities, and file a complaint with the police.
If we determine that the posting of retaliatory or harassing comments against our response, or slanderous comments online is malicious, we will request an investigation from the Internet provider or mobile phone company, report personal information, IP addresses, and call recordings to the relevant authorities, file a police report, and request additional damages through an affiliated law firm. If the crime constitutes obstruction of business by fraudulent means (Article 233 of the Penal Code), the punishment is imprisonment for up to three years or a fine of up to 500,000 yen.
In order to maintain smooth service for our customers, we have decided to take the above measures. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by some malicious users, and we ask for your understanding.
