Welcome to the world of underwear
Underwear is something that is usually out of sight, but it is the piece of clothing that is closest to the wearer's skin. As a company that specializes in this everyday item, TOOT pours its "attention to detail" into helping you take your look to the next level. On this page, we would like to introduce you to TOOT.

Unique Comfort
Pursuit of comfort
Hyuga City in Miyazaki Prefecture is a place where time passes slowly, and you can feel the majesty of nature from the blue sky and sea.
Since its founding in 2000, TOOT has been consistently producing its products at its own factory in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, where skilled craftsmen apply ingenuity to every detail. The unique three-dimensional sewing ensures a snug fit. New products are released every week, resulting in an overwhelming variety of designs. Each product is full of originality, with the aim of providing "UNIQUE COMFORT" that is unique to TOOT. You're sure to find the comfort you're looking for at TOOT.
What are TOOT pants?

Comfortable fitting
Comfort
Many people have said, "You can tell the difference when you wear it." The underwear is so well-made that you can't tell if you wear it inside out, and it fits so well that you'll be hooked once you try it on. The advantage of the low rise is that the elastic waistband doesn't easily turn inside out.
To complete one pair of underwear, we use nearly 10 different types of sewing machines, and the craftsmen in charge of each part demonstrate their skills in as many as 20 steps. Because the same craftsmen do not change, we can provide a consistent comfortable fit.
TOOT employees wear the completed samples multiple times to check the appearance and fit. By making corrections in 1mm increments, we are able to raise the quality of our products.
The more parts and patterns there are, the better it fits to the curves of the body. Time-consuming changes and a large number of patterns are important elements of carefully crafted underwear that fits the curves of the body. TOOT spares no effort in this regard.
Enjoy the comfort that exceeds your imagination.

design for someone
Design for someone
Based on TOOT's classic "Low Rise Boxer" that made a big impact on the underwear industry in 2000, TOOT continues to plan and produce underwear of all designs. We plan and develop everything from comfortable and safe underwear to completely new underwear that has never existed before. As apparel items, not just consumables, we proactively use materials that are not often used for underwear, resulting in unique TOOT designs.
In today's world, where tastes, occasions, and moods are all so diverse, we hope that "pants for someone" can become a special pair of pants for "you" or "your loved one" with a special design and comfort, brightening the wearer's everyday life, both body and soul.

Draping & flat seamer
3D stitching and flat seam
When you think of TOOT, you think of the "front cup" that does not squeeze too much on the delicate parts of the body and does not wobble. This requires skilled techniques, including three-dimensional sewing and flat seams that do not distort. A pair of pants is packed with ideas and ingenuity, such as the kandome used in apparel products to improve product durability and thread finishing to improve the feel against the skin, and each pair is carefully sewn by hand. We would be very happy if you could notice TOOT's attention to detail.
Because our products are carefully sewn with great care, you can enjoy them for a long time, so please find your favorite piece.
Even a millimeter of misalignment can be fatal, and sports require intense concentration. The performance-enhancing effects of underwear, including the material and the holding power of the front cup, are gaining attention. We also sponsor athletes and competitions in martial arts, golf, surfing, bouldering, and other sports.

The creator's thoughts

Factory Manager
Ever since the company was founded, I have always thought about how to meet the expectations of the customers who wear TOOT shoes, and how to live up to their expectations. For over 20 years since the company was founded, we have continued to make the products we wanted to make, and our customers have recognized and accepted our products, which has allowed us to get to this point, so I don't think our sense was wrong.
Even back then, product inspection, the last line of defence, has been carried out with much stricter standards than other companies, and that is what has become TOOT quality. "Pants you won't be embarrassed to wear inside out", "Taking the time to make quality products", "Paying attention to even the details that customers won't notice" - these are the ideas behind TOOT. We don't want to lower quality by mass-producing. We believe that products that have been made with care and effort are more valuable than products that simply look pretty. Being neat is a given, but we have always aimed to make products that are also made with care.
When we first started the company, I had never worn boxer-type underwear myself, but when I tried them on once, I thought, "Wow!" I'm sure our customers will also notice the quality of them. Unlike mass-produced products, TOOT products are somewhat expensive, but they are made with care and we have many repeat customers, so I would love everyone to try them on at least once!
Sewing Department Manager
I joined the company almost 20 years ago with no prior experience. I started by operating the sewing machine and helping with cutting, and now, as the sewing manager, I work with the craftsmen on site, sewing and caring for them, and doing various other coordination work.
I always pay attention to the condition of the craftsmen. Some are in good health and some are not. I am very grateful to the craftsmen who sew under different conditions every day, so I try to do what I can. I ask them questions like, "Is it difficult to sew here?" "Do you have a headache?" "Are your shoulders stiff?" It's hard to notice the changes in everyone, but I try to ask them if they're feeling unwell. However, I still feel that I need to be more attentive to them, so I'm trying to get closer to my ideal. I want to respond 100% to the feelings of the craftsmen who work so hard, so I'm happy when they say "thank you."
Everyone has their own life, but when something bad happens, I would be happy if you could put on a pair of TOOT pants and feel refreshed and refreshed.
CAM/CAD craftsman
First, at the sample production stage, we look at the pattern to see if the design image envisioned by the designer can be realized from a cutting perspective. This is the process of matching the fabric and sewing to the designer's ideas.
How do we realize the designer's preferences? How close can we get to them? What about costs? How long will it take to make? We go back and forth many times to create samples. For full-scale production, we actually cut dozens of pieces one by one, so it's very difficult because we can't afford to make any mistakes. The fabrics in TOOT's COLLECTION line are different each time in terms of softness, feel, shrinkage rate, and tension, so there are many aspects that we can't know until we actually receive the roll of fabric, which makes it very difficult. Even standard fabrics can be different.
I love this job, so it makes me really happy when I hear things like, "We sold it!" or "It sold out on the official website!" When I occasionally look at customer reviews, I sometimes see really nice things written, and I can't help but want to write a reply. Those kinds of customer comments really motivate me. I think of my products as my own children, so it makes me really happy when I see them leaving the nest and being worn by all kinds of people.
I've been in this business for many years, so sometimes it's hard to read the tastes of customers, and I can sense differences in their sensibilities, but it's no good to have something that's too simple, and it's no good to have only interesting designs. I sometimes think, "I can't believe that these kinds of things sell," but I'd like to express my gratitude to you all, saying, "Thank you for your continued patronage! Thank you for your continued patronage!"
Sewing craftsman
I've been working in sewing for over 20 years, but I've been in charge of samples for about 10 years. In the past, I used to make seven or eight samples for one design. I don't do that often now, but I'm happy when I look at the specifications for a complicated design, think it's interesting, and successfully create a difficult design. However, I'm always thinking, "How will it turn out when it goes to the actual production line?" It's important to make it as easy to sew as possible when it goes on the production line.
It's tough when the deadline for making many samples is fast approaching, but I make my own plans and proceed while adjusting the sewing machine. Adjusting the sewing machine means tightening or loosening the thread tension and changing the knife width. Since the fabric is different every time, it's nice to be able to make such adjustments well. For fabrics that tend to curl, you have to stretch them while sewing, but it's difficult with fabrics like leather that can't be re-sewn. Recently, designs have become very elaborate, so if I were a man, I would definitely like to wear them.
Inspection Officer
This is the final inspection step before the product reaches the customer, so we have to be careful.
Since we often use different fabrics each time, we sometimes only realize that the product is a sub-grade product during the final inspection. We are always careful not to disappoint the customers who place orders or purchase products and feel excited when they open the box.
There are many women in the sewing factory, and we work in a friendly and fun atmosphere. We always want to deliver good products. When I actually touch the clothes, I think, "This must be comfortable to wear," so I hope that people will continue to wear them.
Shipping Contact
I've been with the company for over 20 years, and I'm currently in charge of managing the shipping area. Products come in all different shapes and sizes, so I make suggestions on how to fold them so that they all look the same. I always think of suggestions that will allow you to understand the characteristics of each pair of pants, depending on the design.
I'm a woman, so there are some things I don't understand, but my husband also wears them and always says that he likes how they fit so snugly. If I were a man, I'd like to try wearing colorful ones too. So I definitely recommend giving them a try!
Materials Manager
I've been working at a sewing factory for over 20 years, ordering and managing materials, cutting rubber bands, and other tasks. It's about time I started training young craftsmen (laughs).
I work at the front of the production line, so my main job is to prepare in advance, such as preparing the rubber properly so that the delivery date doesn't get delayed and checking orders so that materials don't run out, so that the flow of the production line goes smoothly. For COLLECTION, materials are ordered in bulk for each season, so we can see the number of materials, but when we get a sudden production schedule for BASIC, we have to order it separately from the regular line because we need a lot of material, which is hard. The rubber also comes in in bulk, so we have to cut it up as much as we can, but we have to be careful because sometimes the quality labeling doesn't arrive in time and the process stops.
I feel most relieved when the direction and number of rubber bands cut in large quantities are just right and production starts. I once made a huge mistake with the direction of an expensive piece of silk rubber band (laughs).
I've always been curious about the stitching of other companies, but ours is so beautiful! I've always been curious about the stitching of the elastic, and I think it's really beautiful. I'd like people to know the difference in the stitching in that area.
