Welcome to the world of underwear
While undergarments are typically worn out of sight, they are the items of clothing that are in closest contact with the wearer's skin.
As a company specializing in this intimate item, TOOT incorporates its "passion" into its products to provide users with a more sophisticated experience.

Unique Comfort
Pursuit of comfort
In Hyuga City in Miyazaki Prefecture, the blue sky and sea evoke a sense of the grandeur of nature, and time passes slowly.
Since its establishment in 2000, TOOT has consistently manufactured its products in its own factory in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture. Skilled artisans meticulously apply their creativity to every aspect of the manufacturing process. Our underwear is designed to provide an enveloping and comfortable fit, made possible by our advanced three-dimensional sewing technique. With new styles released every week, we offer a wide variety of designs. Each product is meticulously sewn and crafted with originality to achieve TOOT's distinctive "UNIQUE COMFORT" philosophy.
At TOOT, we are confident that you will find the comfort you seek.
What is TOOT underwear like?

Comfortable, modest fit
Comfortable, modest fit
Many users tell us that they can feel the difference as soon as they put the underwear on, and they keep coming back for more. so precisely that you probably wouldn't even notice if you put them on inside out. These underwear offers an addictive fit and will feel great from the very first time you wear them on. And the low-rise design also made it hard for the waistband to turn outward.
Nearly 10 different types of sewing machine are used to make each piece of underwear, and the skilled artisans responsible for each stage of the production process showcase their craftsmanship through as many as 20 distinct steps. Because the same artisans work on each step of the process, so we can consistently provide a comfortable fit.
TOOT employees wear the finished samples repeatedly to check their appearance and how they feel. By making adjustments down to the millimeter, we elevate the product’s quality to the highest level.
The more parts and seams there are, the better the underwear will conform to the body’s curves. The labor-intensive seams and complex patterns are essential elements of our meticulously crafted underwear, which is designed to hug the body’s contours. TOOT spares no effort in this process.
We always hope that everyone enjoys a level of comfort that is more than they expected.

Design with Someone in Mind
Design with Someone in Mind
Building on the basis of TOOT’s iconic “Low-Rise Boxers”, which caused a stir in the underwear industry in 2000, we continue to design and produce a wide variety of underwear styles. Our range includes comfortable, reliable essential underwear as well as entirely new styles that have never been seen before. Rather than viewing underwear as a disposable item, we see it as a fashion accessory. By actively incorporating materials rarely used in underwear, we create designs that are uniquely TOOT and unlike anything else on the market.
In today's world, people have very different preferences, occasions, and moods. We're delighted when our "underwear designed with someone in mind" becomes a special piece for you or your loved ones in terms of both design and comfort. We hope it makes your daily lives better, physically and emotionally.

Draping & flat seamer
3D stitching and flat seam
Speaking of TOOT, the design and craft of the 'Frontal Cup' is known for a hallmark of the brand. It is designed to prevent too much tightness in sensitive areas and minimise slippage, and it holds gently and moderately. This requires that it be sewn by a skilled craftsperson, including the seaming by three-dimensional stitching and 'flat-seams' that are even and do not have any distortion.
Each pair of underwear is carefully made by hand, incorporating numerous ideas and thoughtful details, from the 'bar tack stitching' — commonly used in apparel to enhance durability — to the meticulous thread finishing that ensures a comfortable feel against the skin.
We would be delighted if you could appreciate the attention to detail that goes into TOOT's products.
These undergarments are meticulously designed and manufactured to ensure durability and longevity. We kindly request your time to explore and discover your preferred piece.
In sports, even a millimeter-sized misalignment can be critical, requiring intense concentration. Attention is increasingly being focused on how underwear can enhance performance—from the materials used to the support provided by the 'Frontal Cups'. We also sponsor athletes and competitions in sports such as martial arts, golf, surfing, and bouldering.

The Craftperson's vision

Factory Director
What I’ve been thinking about ever since we founded the company is, above all, to live up to the expectations of the customers who wear TOOT and to ensure that we don’t fall short of the sentiments of those who wear our products. For more than twenty years since our founding, we’ve continued to create the products we want to make, and because our customers have recognized and appreciated them. Thanks to all of our customers, we’ve been able to keep going this far—so I believe our instincts have been right.
Even back then, we applied stricter standards than other companies to our final quality inspection, our last line of defense, and that has become the hallmark of TOOT quality. "Underwear you wouldn't be embarrassed even if you don't notice wearing inside out," "taking the time to meticulously craft high-quality items," and "paying attention to details where customers don't even notice"—that is the essence of TOOT. We never want to shift to mass-production sacrificing quality of each product. We believe that products made with genuine dedication hold greater value than those that are merely visually appealing. We’ve always aimed not just for well-made—well-made is nothing more than a must-deserved in production—but also for products into that put our passion.
When we first started our business, I had never worn boxer briefs myself, either. But I was amazed when I tried TOOT's boxer briefs on. I thought "Wow!"
I’m sure you will notice how great they are, too. Our TOOT products are pricier than those mass-produced items made by other companies because we put a lot of care into crafting them. But we have many customers who come back to us again and again.
So I really want you to try our products on, too!
Factory Manager/Production Manager
I joined the company twenty and some years ago with no prior experience in sewing and making. So I started my career by operating a sewing machine and assisting with cutting out fabrics. Now, as the manager of sewing department, I work with the craftspeople on the production floor. I handle various tasks, such as sewing, coordinating, and I look after their well-being.
I always think about how the craftspeople are doing. Some are doing well, while others are not, including in terms of their physical health.
I'm thankful to the craftspeople who keep making products despite their varying conditions, so I do whatever I can to support them.
I might ask, "Is this part difficult to sew?" or "Do you have a headache?" or "Are your shoulders stiff?" and so on.
It’s not easy to notice changes in everyone, so I attend by asking, "Is anything wrong with you?"
I believe that there are still areas where I could be more attentive, though, so I'm working hard to get closer to my ideal.
My goal is to fully reciprocate the craftspeople's passionate work, so it makes me happy when they say "thank you" to me.
I hope that, as everyone goes about your own lives, even when something unpleasant happens, you’ll just put on a pair of TOOT underwear and feel refreshed in a good mood!
CAM/CAD Specialist
First, at the sample production stage, we look at the pattern to see if the design image envisioned by the designer can be realized from a cutting perspective. This is the process of matching the fabric and sewing to the designer's ideas.
How do we realize the designer's preferences? How close can we get to them? What about costs? How long will it take to make? We go back and forth many times to create samples. For full-scale production, we actually cut dozens of pieces one by one, so it's very difficult because we can't afford to make any mistakes. The fabrics in TOOT's COLLECTION line are different each time in terms of softness, feel, shrinkage rate, and tension, so there are many aspects that we can't know until we actually receive the roll of fabric, which makes it very difficult. Even standard fabrics can be different.
I love this job, so it makes me really happy when I hear things like, "We sold it!" or "It sold out on the official website!" When I occasionally look at customer reviews, I sometimes see really nice things written, and I can't help but want to write a reply. Those kinds of customer comments really motivate me. I think of my products as my own children, so it makes me really happy when I see them leaving the nest and being worn by all kinds of people.
I've been in this business for many years, so sometimes it's hard to read the tastes of customers, and I can sense differences in their sensibilities, but it's no good to have something that's too simple, and it's no good to have only interesting designs. I sometimes think, "I can't believe that these kinds of things sell," but I'd like to express my gratitude to you all, saying, "Thank you for your continued patronage! Thank you for your continued patronage!"
Sewing craftsman
I've been working in sewing for over 20 years, but I've been in charge of samples for about 10 years. In the past, I used to make seven or eight samples for one design. I don't do that often now, but I'm happy when I look at the specifications for a complicated design, think it's interesting, and successfully create a difficult design. However, I'm always thinking, "How will it turn out when it goes to the actual production line?" It's important to make it as easy to sew as possible when it goes on the production line.
It's tough when the deadline for making many samples is fast approaching, but I make my own plans and proceed while adjusting the sewing machine. Adjusting the sewing machine means tightening or loosening the thread tension and changing the knife width. Since the fabric is different every time, it's nice to be able to make such adjustments well. For fabrics that tend to curl, you have to stretch them while sewing, but it's difficult with fabrics like leather that can't be re-sewn. Recently, designs have become very elaborate, so if I were a man, I would definitely like to wear them.
Inspection Officer
This is the final inspection step before the product reaches the customer, so we have to be careful.
Since we often use different fabrics each time, we sometimes only realize that the product is a sub-grade product during the final inspection. We are always careful not to disappoint the customers who place orders or purchase products and feel excited when they open the box.
There are many women in the sewing factory, and we work in a friendly and fun atmosphere. We always want to deliver good products. When I actually touch the clothes, I think, "This must be comfortable to wear," so I hope that people will continue to wear them.
Shipping Contact
I've been with the company for over 20 years, and I'm currently in charge of managing the shipping area. Products come in all different shapes and sizes, so I make suggestions on how to fold them so that they all look the same. I always think of suggestions that will allow you to understand the characteristics of each pair of pants, depending on the design.
I'm a woman, so there are some things I don't understand, but my husband also wears them and always says that he likes how they fit so snugly. If I were a man, I'd like to try wearing colorful ones too. So I definitely recommend giving them a try!
Materials Manager
I've been working at a sewing factory for over 20 years, ordering and managing materials, cutting rubber bands, and other tasks. It's about time I started training young craftsmen (laughs).
I work at the front of the production line, so my main job is to prepare in advance, such as preparing the rubber properly so that the delivery date doesn't get delayed and checking orders so that materials don't run out, so that the flow of the production line goes smoothly. For COLLECTION, materials are ordered in bulk for each season, so we can see the number of materials, but when we get a sudden production schedule for BASIC, we have to order it separately from the regular line because we need a lot of material, which is hard. The rubber also comes in in bulk, so we have to cut it up as much as we can, but we have to be careful because sometimes the quality labeling doesn't arrive in time and the process stops.
I feel most relieved when the direction and number of rubber bands cut in large quantities are just right and production starts. I once made a huge mistake with the direction of an expensive piece of silk rubber band (laughs).
I've always been curious about the stitching of other companies, but ours is so beautiful! I've always been curious about the stitching of the elastic, and I think it's really beautiful. I'd like people to know the difference in the stitching in that area.
